GEO-SEO Retainer

We install citation-grade infrastructure on your site, then run a monthly delta against your composite GEO Score so you can prove the curve. Schema, llms.txt, content density, brand authority — all measured month over month.

Last updated: May 27, 2026

Baseline audit and first fixes ship within 7 days; monthly delta reports run every 30 days thereafter.

  • See your composite GEO Score (0-100) climb measurably month over month.
  • Own the schema, the llms.txt, and every monthly report — you keep it if you ever leave.

Deliverables

What is GEO and why does it matter now?

GEO is Generative Engine Optimization — the practice of making a website discoverable, understandable, and citable by AI systems like ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, Gemini, and Google AI Overviews. Roughly half of Google searches now show an AI Overview at the top of the page, up from around a third in late 2025, and Gartner projects another 50 percent share loss for traditional search by 2028. Sites that win the AI layer are structured for citation, not just ranked for clicks.

How is this different from a normal SEO retainer?

Traditional SEO retainers chase blue-link rankings with keyword targeting, link building, and on-page tuning. The GEO-SEO Retainer optimizes for the AI layer that now sits in front of those blue links. We measure a composite GEO Score across six categories — AI Citability, Brand Authority, Content E-E-A-T, Technical GEO, Schema and Structured Data, and Platform Optimization — and we move it month over month with a documented audit, a confident-fix pass, and a measurable delta report. We will not promise rankings. We will promise a score curve.

What gets shipped in the first week?

Day 1 is the kickoff call and the baseline audit on your domain. Day 2 is the 90-day roadmap drafted from your specific findings. Days 3 and 4 are the confident-fix pass — schema rewrite using the right entity types for your business, an llms.txt at the root of your site listing your services and key pages, robots.txt rules that explicitly allow GPTBot, ClaudeBot, PerplexityBot, and Google-Extended, meta description gaps filled, OG image sized correctly, and language tags added. Day 5 is your review. Day 6 ships to production after sign-off. Day 7 hands off the first weekly summary and locks the monthly cadence.

What does the monthly delta report cover?

Each month you receive a single document showing your composite GEO Score before and after, per-category deltas, per-platform readiness changes for the major AI engines, AI crawler access changes if any, action plan progress, three concrete wins, any newly discovered issues, and the next month’s priority actions with expected impact. The report uses the same scoring rubric every month so there is no goalpost movement. You see the curve.

What kind of lift should I expect?

Schema and llms.txt fixes typically move within days as AI engines re-crawl. Citation rate moves measurably inside 8 weeks on most sites. Brand-authority distribution work compounds over 3 to 6 months. The Georgia Tech, Princeton, and IIT Delhi 2024 study on AI-search visibility documented 30 to 115 percent lift for sites that hit the right GEO metrics. We project conservatively at the bottom of that range for the ROI math during sales conversations, then track the actual delta in your monthly report.

What is the in-house proof point?

FCT runs this retainer on its own site. The fct-technologies.com baseline scored 58 out of 100 on the composite GEO Score before the confident-fix pass. After the same one-day pass we ship to client sites — schema rewritten to Organization plus ProfessionalService, founder Person entity strengthened with full name and sameAs links, llms.txt rewritten to match the live five-service structure, language tags added, speakable markup applied — the score moved to 65 out of 100. The 90-day roadmap projects 80+ as the target. The site is the live, ongoing case study, and the report format clients receive is the same one we keep on ourselves.

How does this work on closed CMS sites like WordPress or Wix?

For Git-hosted Astro and Next.js sites we ship every change as a reviewable pull request. For WordPress we install schema via Rank Math or Yoast plus a Code Snippets plugin for custom JSON-LD, edit robots.txt via the SEO plugin, and drop the llms.txt via FTP or the hosting file manager. For Wix and Squarespace we inject via theme code on their plugin path. The deliverable is the same regardless of stack; the access path differs.

What if I want to cancel after a few months?

You keep every report, every schema we wrote, every llms.txt, every content rewrite. The retainer pays for ongoing tuning and the monthly delta — not for static work product. If you cancel after month 3, you walk away with citation-grade infrastructure your site did not have when you arrived, and the monthly score curve through your engagement is yours to keep.
